The warming mud now washed off

Couldn’t see this before

Deafening silence,
Of nine hundred souls
The moonlight won’t shine in
Rays shatter on thy surface

Never again shall I swim
Never shall I enjoy it more
Never will I be clean again
Never will I be whole again

As I float in the dead lake
Storms gather upon my misery
The rain ruffles the surface
My life suffering from aridity
